Maria created this award winning design for Worcester's People in Peril (PIP) Shelter.
This mission statement incorporates many of Maria's multifaceted talents. Starting with deliberate design structure and a combination of conservative and flourished lettering, Maria decided to include various apple images.
(Although not commonly used today, another word for an appleseed is a "pip.")

One in a series of many Christmas cards Maria has designed for Salve Regina University in Newport, RI.
This image is also used in Salve Regina's paperweight awards which are presented to visiting dignitaries and honorees.

Maria created this James Beard Foundation menu for Gracie's Restaurant in Providence, RI.
Menu is approximately 7 x 25 inches (18 x 64 cm). Printed on fine Italian print making paper, it is scored and folded so each course can be individually viewed while dining. Menu also functions as a place card. It is tied with a gold organdy ribbon and inscribed with each guest's name.
Maria incorporated her "Peas on Earth" illustration, painted as part of her botanical illustration and holiday card series.

Maria's signs inform and delight walkers along Northbridge's Mumford River. Income from sales of prints in this series helps maintain this scenic pathway. Here is one image and some detail.
This family tree of Whitinsville's founding family's hangs in its town hall. Its size is approximately 24 by 36 inches (60 by 90 cm).
